Estimator

Duggans is seeking a suitably skilled, qualified and motivated Precast Estimator / Project Manager to join our Precast Division.

This is a diverse role supporting the tendering, estimating and delivery of precast concrete projects, working closely with clients, engineers, architects, draftsmen and site teams from tender stage through to project delivery.

• Prepare and submit tenders, estimates and quotations for precast projects.

• Review and interpret structural, architectural and shop drawings.

• Assist with planning, programming and management of precast projects.

• Liaise with draftsmen, architects, engineers, site managers, clients and other stakeholders.

• Coordinate the manufacture and delivery requirements of precast elements.

• Arrange and coordinate deliveries of precast products to site.

• Monitor project timelines and ensure key deadlines are achieved.

• Maintain accurate project documentation and communication throughout each project.

The successful applicant will ideally have:

• Experience in estimating, project management, construction or a related field.

• The ability to read and interpret structural, architectural and shop drawings.

• Practical knowledge of engineering practices, terminology and construction industry standards.

• Strong organisational and time-management skills.

• The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to strict deadlines.

• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

• Good computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

• Experience within the precast concrete or construction industry would be highly regarded.
