Pharmaceutical plant hygiene team member/ Industrial cleaner

Full-Time Cleaner/Plant hygiene Team Member– Pharmaceutical manufacturing company (Day Shift - 6am-2.06pm)

Ensign Laboratories is seeking a motivated and reliable full-time Cleaner to join our Plant Hygiene Team on day shift. This role is essential in keeping our facilities clean, safe, and compliant with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness of internal and external areas to industry standards.

• Maintaining office areas, Laboratories, toilets and manufacturing areas.

• Carry out daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, collecting & disposing of waste, and bathroom cleaning.

• Operate cleaning equipment safely, including sweepers

• Identify and report any issues that may impact GMP compliance (e.g., pests, cobwebs, hazards).

• Follow cleaning registers, procedures , and safety practices.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Reliability, punctuality, attention to detail and strong time management skills.

• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks (bending, kneeling, lifting, pushing, carrying).

• Demonstrating initiative, resilience, and adaptability to meet evolving business needs.

• Willingness to learn and follow GMP & industry requirements.

• Previous cleaning experience, ideally in a Pharmaceutical, Food or manufacturing environment. (desirable)

• Experience with a sweeper (desirable not essential).

• Working at Heights certification preferred, or willingness to complete the course.
  

Citizenship: PR or NZ/Australian Citizenship required
