What You'll Be Working On

You'll work on a diverse range of heavy transport equipment, including:

• Livestock trailers

• Flat-top trailers

• Tippers

• Roadtrain dollies

• Fleet customer trailers and heavy vehicles

• Rytrans' own fleet of trucks, trailers and forklifts

Whether it's routine servicing, major rebuilds or diagnosing complex faults, every day brings something different.

Your Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults.

• Carry out servicing, preventative maintenance and safety inspections.

• Complete brake, suspension and axle rebuilds.

• Maintain and repair customer fleet equipment.

• Service and maintain Rytrans' own trucks, trailers and forklifts.

• Identify faults and provide practical, reliable repair solutions.

• Complete service documentation accurately.

• Maintain a clean, safe and professional work environment.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Is trade qualified as a Heavy Vehicle/Diesel Mechanic (or has equivalent industry experience).

• Has proven experience working on semi-trailers.

• Has strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.

• Enjoys solving problems and takes satisfaction in finding practical, long-lasting solutions for customers.

• Understands that every repair helps keep a customer's business moving and takes pride in getting the job done right the first time.

• Can work independently while also contributing positively to a strong team culture.

• Takes pride in producing high-quality workmanship.

• Holds a current driver's licence (HC or MC licence is an advantage).
