Despatch & Logistics Clerk

About the role

Our client located in Lidcombe is currently seeking a highly organised and proactive Despatch & Logistics Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for coordinating daily delivery runs, supporting drivers and warehouse operations, managing orders and system processes, and ensuring customer deliveries are dispatched accurately and on time. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, have excellent communication skills, and be confident managing multiple priorities across warehouse, transport, sales and customer service teams.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with consignors and relevant stakeholders to ensure delivery runs are closed on time.

• Allocate, close and release delivery runs and upload manifests to L2U.

• Consolidate afternoon metro runs for next-day delivery.

• Pre-schedule picking and release of "Hold 2" orders for PM delivery.

• Communicate daily driver rosters with CBD and relevant teams.

• Maintain warehouse Heads Up Display (HUD) screens and ensure information is current.

• Monitor Locate2U to ensure drivers remain on schedule and deliveries are progressing.

• Maintain clear and ongoing communication with drivers throughout the day.

• Communicate delivery outcomes to customers, sales teams, managers and other relevant stakeholders.

• Process daily emails and respond to despatch-related requests.

About you

• Previous experience in despatch, logistics, transport, warehousing or a similar coordination role.

• Strong organisational and time-management skills.

• Excellent communication skills and confidence dealing with drivers, customers, sales teams and managers.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when managing orders, manifests and system information.

• The ability to remain calm and organised in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience working with WMS, transport management or delivery systems is highly desirable.

• Strong computer skills and confidence managing multiple systems and emails.

• A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

• The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team.
