Picking, Packing and Dispatch

Semrad is a leading Australian distributor of industrial instrumentation, process control and monitoring solutions.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our team in a dispatch role.

This role would be well suited to a university student who requires flexibility in a job. It would be ideal for someone looking to enter the field of logistics, electrical trade or engineering and seeking some experience. On-the-job training is provided.

The position is casual, approximately 10–20 hours per week, with flexibility around days and hours. Permanent part-time work would also be considered for the right person.

Dispatch tasks will include:

• Open and document inventory received from suppliers

• Cross-check inventory against purchase orders and documentation

• Pick items to fulfil order requirements

• Pack prepared items for shipment, including packaging and labelling

• Arrange shipment of packed items

• Prepare and maintain accurate records of items picked, packed and dispatched

• Send shipment notifications to customers

• Track incoming and outgoing shipments to provide status updates, when necessary

• Maintain an organised dispatch area

• Assist with other areas of the business as required
