Manager - East Coast People & Culture

About the Role

Reporting to the Executive Manager – People & Culture, you will provide strategic and operational People & Culture leadership across the employee lifecycle while leading a small People & Culture team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing expert advice on employee relations, performance management and workplace matters
• Leading end-to-end recruitment and workforce planning activities
• Supporting managers with leadership development and employee growth initiatives
• Managing disciplinary, grievance and industrial relations matters
• Ensuring compliance with Fair Work legislation, awards, enterprise agreements and company policies
• Overseeing onboarding, inductions and employee engagement initiatives
• Managing HR systems, reporting, documentation and compliance requirements
• Building strong relationships with leaders across the business to support operational outcomes
• Driving continuous improvement within HR processes and systems
• Leading and mentoring People & Culture team members

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Minimum 4 years' experience in a senior People & Culture role within mining, resources, heavy industry or a similar operational environment
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation, industrial relations and contemporary HR practices
• Proven experience managing employee relations, recruitment and performance management processes
• Demonstrated leadership and team management capability
• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational abilities
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement
• Strong computer literacy and administration skills
• Current C Class Driver's Licence

Desirable:

• Degree qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline
