Join the Princess Alexandra Hospital Emergency Department Mental Health team in Brisbane in one of multiple temporary full-time or part-time contracts (up to 6 months), delivering high-quality acute mental health care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

As a Mental Health Clinician (Emergency Department) , you'll play a vital role in providing timely, evidence-based mental health assessment, intervention and care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department. Working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, you'll help deliver compassionate, patient-centred care while contributing to education, service improvement and clinical excellence by:

• Providing comprehensive mental health assessments, therapeutic interventions and discharge planning.
• Managing a varied clinical caseload using sound clinical judgement and evidence-based practice.
• Working collaboratively with emergency clinicians and multidisciplinary teams to achieve the best outcomes for patients.
• Supporting students, allied health assistants and less experienced staff through education and supervision.
• Participating in quality improvement, research and the ongoing development of clinical practice.
• Contributing to a 24-hour rotating roster delivering acute mental health services.

You are a compassionate and adaptable allied health professional who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care with:

• Experience providing high-quality, patient-centred mental health assessment and intervention.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong clinical reasoning, time management and decision-making skills.
• A commitment to continuous learning, professional development and evidence-based practice.
• An interest in contributing to service improvement, education and quality initiatives.
• Eligibility for the relevant professional registration or membership (AHPRA or AASW, as applicable).
