Mining Surveyor

Golding is currently seeking a Mining Surveyor to join our team at Baralaba Coal Mine. Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the operation through accurate survey coverage, technical expertise, and ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements.

As part of the Golding team, you’ll enjoy an 8/6 roster, flights, camp accommodation, and meals are all provided during your roster.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing accurate survey control in line with site excavation and dump plans;

• Preparing survey reports and plans to support the site Production Plan;

• Preparing annual statutory mine plans in accordance with site procedures;

• Certifying and submitting annual statutory mine plans;

• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives relating to surveying hardware, software, and systems;

• Carrying out Mining Surveyor responsibilities in line with the Baralaba Management Structure and legislative requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Formal Surveying qualifications;

• Strong knowledge of mining processes and mine surveying requirements;

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills;

• High attention to detail with strong organisational skills;

• Experience using Trimble GNSS & Total Stations;

• Experience with Vulcan, PointStudio, ArcGIS Pro, Agisoft will be highly regarded;

• A Remote Pilot Licence (RePL) will be advantageous.
