Contracts Manager (Melbourne OR Sydney):What will this job do to improve your life?This is an opportunity to step into one of the most commercially influential roles within a growing renewable energy developer, sitting at the heart of how projects progress from early development through to investment and financial close.
Rather than simply administering contracts, you'll shape the commercial framework that underpins a national portfolio of renewable energy projects. You'll work across land acquisition, grid connection, project development and downstream delivery agreements, giving you exposure to every stage of the project lifecycle while building highly sought-after experience across development, investment and transaction support.
You'll also become a trusted commercial adviser to senior leadership, giving you the opportunity to influence key investment decisions and play a pivotal role in the continued growth of the business.
About the roleVinova are partnering with a leading renewable energy IPP to appoint a Contracts Manager into their Melbourne or Sydney office.
You'll become the commercial custodian for the development portfolio, establishing contractual governance, supporting negotiations and ensuring projects remain transaction-ready throughout their lifecycle.
Working closely with Development Managers, Land Managers, Legal Counsel, Grid Connection Managers, Finance, Technical teams, Executive leadership and external advisers, you'll ensure commercial agreements are negotiated, tracked and administered to support investment decisions, due diligence, financial close and successful project delivery.
DutiesLead commercial negotiations across land, grid connection, development and downstream project agreementsBuild and maintain robust contract governance, templates and approval processes across the portfolioManage contract registers, obligations, milestones and commercial risk across multiple development projectsSupport project finance, due diligence and financial close through high-quality commercial documentation and stakeholder coordination
Skills & experienceExperience managing complex commercial contracts within renewable energy, infrastructure, utilities or major projectsStrong knowledge of land, grid connection, development and/or EPC agreementsProven ability to support investment transactions, due diligence or project finance activitiesExcellent stakeholder management and commercial negotiation skillsDegree in Law, Business, Commerce, Engineering or a related discipline
