Delivery Driver/General Hand

The Role:

We seek an energetic, motivated and professional Delivery Driver/General Hand to join our team at the Woodville North Manufacturing Facility.

Monday to Friday, 38hrs per week from 6:00am-2:20pm (Start & finishing times can vary) plus Overtime.

The main focus of your role involves the delivery of Aluminium Extrusions, Glass, Timber, Fabricated Product & Componentry locally with the occasional delivery into regional South Australia. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of these goods utilising our MR Truck & Trailer. The role is varied and will also involve general hand work. This includes loading and unloading the truck manually whilst at the factory and on construction sites and assistance in the Fabrication and Stores departments.

If you can demonstrate you have sound knowledge and experience, the successful candidate will be offered a permanent full-time wage, including a Base Hourly Rate + Super + Overtime.
The base permanent hourly rate for this role is $37.83.

Duties:

· Safely operating a medium rigid (MR) vehicle to deliver our products to customers within the local area as well as occasional regional deliveries.

· Adhere to all relevant road rules, safety regulations and company policies.

· Physical loading and unloading of the vehicle, ensuring goods are transported securely.

· General warehouse, factory or logistics tasks as needed.

· Assistance within the Fabrication and Stores departments.

· Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collections.

· Provide clear and precise communication.

· Provide excellent customer service and liaise with customers as required.

The Successful Applicant:

· Must have a current MR Truck Licence with a clean driving record.

· Must have a valid Forklift Licence and experience loading and unloading trucks.

· Previous experience driving with a Trailer.

· A sound Knowledge and understanding of the Fatigue Management requirements.

· Have the ability to correctly complete the NHVR - National Driver Work Diary.

· Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.

· An ability to inspect and maintain a clean vehicle.

· Physical fitness to lift and manoeuvre goods safely.

· Excellent time management and organisational skills.
