About the Role
Tenure: Fixed Term - Full or Part Time
DEED plays a critical role in safeguarding Western Australia's energy security. Through the Coordinator of Energy, DEED is the Hazard Management Agency (HMA) for Energy Supply Disruption and is responsible for coordinating emergency management arrangements across the State's energy sector. Within Energy Policy WA, the Emergency Management team leads DEED's preparedness and response activities for significant liquid fuel and electricity supply disruptions, including the implementation of the State Hazard Plan, engagement with government and industry stakeholders, and the ongoing strengthening of energy resilience across Western Australia.
We are seeking employees interested in supporting DEED's response to the current global fuel supply disruption. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact public sector work that helps maintain the security of fuel for Western Australians, while strengthening preparedness for future emergencies. Given the dynamic and evolving nature of the operating environment, we are looking for individuals who can demonstrate flexibility, adaptability and a strong One DEED mindset, working collaboratively across teams to achieve shared outcomes. Successful applicants will play an important role in supporting time-critical activities, bringing their skills, experience and commitment in helping deliver coordinated, effective responses to emerging challenges, supporting Western Australia's energy security.
