Senior Business Analyst

Senior Business Analyst (Insurance) | Day Rate Contract | Up to $1000 + Super per day | Hybrid

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a high-profile insurance transformation program focused on the design and delivery of a new Commercial Insurance product. This role is ideal for someone who has worked across insurance product delivery, finance, reporting and reinsurance initiatives and can confidently lead discovery, requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement activities within complex environments.

About the Role

You will play a key role in the discovery and inception phase of a strategic program that will deliver a new insurance product to market. Working across multiple workstreams, you will partner with business and technology stakeholders to define requirements, shape solutions and support future-state delivery. The role requires strong business analysis capability combined with experience working across insurance, finance, reporting, data and regulatory environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead discovery and requirements gathering activities across multiple workstreams

• Facilitate workshops with business and technology stakeholders

• Capture and document business, functional and non-functional requirements

• Develop user stories, process maps and business requirements documentation

• Analyse current and future-state business processes

• Work closely with Finance, Reinsurance, Pricing and Reporting teams

• Conduct impact assessments and gap analysis activities

• Support solution design, delivery planning and implementation activities

• Manage stakeholder engagement across business and technology teams

• Contribute to testing, readiness and delivery activities where required

Required Experience

• Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst within Insurance

• Experience leading discovery and inception activities

• Strong requirements elicitation and workshop facilitation skills

• Experience working with finance, reporting or data-focused initiatives

• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills

• Strong business process mapping and analysis capability

• Experience delivering large-scale transformation or technology programs

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Highly Desirable

Experience working with:

• Commercial or General Insurance products

• Reinsurance processes and reporting

• Finance transformation initiatives

• Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter or BillingCenter

• Pricing, underwriting or actuarial teams

• Insurance reporting and analytics

• Product build or greenfield delivery programs

• Regulatory or compliance-driven projects

• Data migration, integration or reporting initiatives
