Senior Business Analyst

An exciting opportunity has come up for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a leading financial services organisation within its Life Insurance technology function.

This is a varied BA role supporting the broader retail insurance business, with a strong focus on improving processes, enhancing systems and finding smarter ways of working. You’ll work across a range of smaller initiatives and BAU improvements rather than being tied to one large project, so it’s a great fit for someone who enjoys variety and likes to see things through from idea to delivery.

The role You’ll be working closely with business and technology stakeholders to understand what's happening today, identify opportunities for improvement and turn those into practical solutions.

The Role Will Involve

Leading end to end requirements analysis across system enhancements, product changes, regulatory requirements and business improvementsManaging multiple pieces of work at once and confidently moving between prioritiesWorking closely with stakeholders across Product, Operations, Technology, Actuarial and EngineeringIdentifying opportunities to simplify, automate and improve manual or repetitive processesSupporting Salesforce enhancements, configuration changes and integrationsDeveloping user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, functional requirements and data mappingsFacilitating workshops and working through requirements with business and technical SMEsSupporting UAT, testing, release readiness and post release activitiesGetting involved in system issues and root cause analysis where requiredLooking at practical opportunities to use automation and AI to improve efficiency and customer outcomes

About you We’re looking for a Senior BA who is confident, pragmatic and comfortable operating in a busy BAU environment.

You’ll Ideally Bring

5+ years’ experience as a Senior Business Analyst within the Australian Life Insurance industryStrong understanding of the Life Insurance customer and policy lifecycleExperience across areas such as policy servicing, product enhancements, claims, retention, cancellations, pricing or billingStrong Salesforce experience, ideally within Life Insurance or Financial ServicesExperience managing multiple concurrent pieces of work and changing prioritiesStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsThe ability to quickly understand a problem, work out what needs to happen and take ownership of getting it movingA genuine interest in process improvement, automation and emerging AI capabilitiesExperience working in Agile environments
