Warehouse Assistant

Our trade supply business continues to grow and we need another storeperson to join our team. This is a critical role in our Pinkenba warehouse, so we need to get the right person for the job. To get that person, we are offering the options of a full-time position or casual hours – the choice is yours!

As a warehouse assistant, you'll support the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and develop and maintain great working relationships with our customers, suppliers and other team members. You'll need to have a strong work ethic, good attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a team. A manual driver licence, a forklift licence and the ability to lift and carry heavy items are essential.

You must be organised, committed to workplace health and safety and flexible in your approach to meet business needs. You’ll also need to be reliable and energetic with a can-do attitude - a team player who can keep their cool under pressure and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities of the role include:

·      Assist with receiving deliveries and checking incoming goods

·      Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently

·      Load and unload delivery vehicles

·      Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organisation

·      Prepare delivery dockets and packing slips

·      Support stocktakes and inventory checks

·      Follow safety procedures and report hazards or incidents

·      Assist drivers with deliveries when required

·      Communicate clearly with warehouse team and supervisors

·      Perform general warehouse duties as directed

Experience required

·      Current forklift license

·      Previous warehousing experience is essential, preferably in a similar role
