About the role
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle/Diesel Mechanic and competent 4th year to join our team at WSM DIESEL SERVICES & REPAIRS in Penrith, NSW.
What you'll be doing
Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance on heavy vehicles and diesel equipment
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues
Test and inspect components to identify and rectify faults
Carry out rebuilds, overhauls and modifications as required
Maintain detailed job records and documentation
Provide customer service and liaise with client
What we're looking for
Formal trade qualifications in Automotive/Diesel Mechanics
Experience as a Heavy Vehicle or Diesel Mechanic
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Heavy Vehicle or Diesel Mechanic
Detailed knowledge of heavy vehicle and diesel engine systems, components and diagnostic procedures
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
Good communication and customer service skills
Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and collaborative workshop environment
Australian citizenship or permanent residency required
