General Insurance Broker Assistant

IPMB, Insurance Placement and Management Brokers, are seeking to fill a full time broker support role.

The position is suited for both entry-level to those experienced in the general insurance industry.

IPMB is an established General Insurance Brokerage holding its own AFSL.

Located at our office in Westbourne Park and supported by a small but experienced team, this opportunity is for anyone looking to start or to continue to develop and progress their career in insurance broking. 

About the Opportunity

Ongoing training, support and mentoring will be provided to ensure your success and a pathway for career progression.

On a day-to-day basis, these roles are responsible for providing outstanding service to our clients.

You will be responsible for a broad range of tasks including:

• Liaising, negotiating and developing relationships with clients and underwriters

• New business quotations

• Policy renewals

• Providing clients with guidance and management of the full claims process

• General administrative tasks

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need the following skills and attributes:

• Great customer service and communication skills

• The ability and willingness to work both as part of a team and independently 

• Show high attention to detail 

• Strong organisational skills

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word and Excel

• Commitment to undertake insurance studies
