About the role
Brunswick Tavern is seeking a reliable and hardworking Cook to join our talented kitchen team. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals to a consistent standard, working closely with the Head Chef in a fast-paced, friendly pub environment. This full-time role is based in our tavern located in Brunswick, WA 6224.
What you'll be doing
Preparing and cooking menu items accurately and consistently, following established recipes
Completing prep work (mise en place) ahead of service to keep the kitchen running smoothly
Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe workspace throughout each shift
Assisting the Head Chef and kitchen team during busy service periods
Monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages to senior kitchen staff
Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations
Providing exceptional customer service and responding promptly to customer requests
What we're looking for
Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience as a Cook in a fast-paced hospitality environment
Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately under time pressure
Strong time management and multitasking skills to thrive in a busy kitchen
Good communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with the team
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
Food safety certification and knowledge of food hygiene regulations
