About the role

As a Mental Health Clinician, you’ll provide holistic, evidence-based care that supports recovery for individuals experiencing mental health challenges. Working closely with Senior Clinicians and Team Leaders, you’ll deliver bio-psycho-social assessments, treatment, and care plans that reflect consumer-centred and family-inclusive practice.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, identifying and prioritising consumer and family needs.
• Act as the primary treating clinician within a multidisciplinary team.
• Develop, implement, and review individualised treatment plans addressing biological, psychological, and social needs.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes to ensure optimal recovery.
• Involve families actively in care delivery, promoting recovery-oriented practice.
• Participate in weekend, after-hours, and on-call rosters as required in rural teams.

Skills and experience

• Experience in a Community Mental Health team (highly desirable).
• Strong clinical assessment and case management skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Tertiary qualification and current registration in one of the following disciplines:
• Registered Psychiatric Nurse – Grade 3
• Psychologist – Grade 2
• Social Worker – Grade 2
• Occupational Therapist – Grade 2
