Behavioural Therapy Assistant - Mill Park

For over 20 years the Lizard Centre has been a leader in Applied Behaviour Analysis and early intervention in Australia. We provide high-quality, evidence-based therapy for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental conditions.
 
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Behavioural Therapy Assistant who is available to work with a family in Mill Park. 
 
The family is looking for either:

• One 3-hour session per week, or
• Two 2-hour sessions per week

Available session times are:
 
Monday

• 7:00am - 11:00am
• 12:00pm - 2:00pm
• 3:00pm - 6:00pm 

Tuesday

• 7:00am - 11:00am
• 12:00pm - 2:00pm
• 3:00pm - 6:00pm 

Thursday

• 7:00am - 11:00am
• 12:00pm - 2:00pm
• 3:00pm - 6:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 therapy to clients in varied settings, including home/clinic/school
• Support clients in developing their skills; communication, social interactions and emotional regulation
• Collect client data to track progress and identify areas of improvement
• Foster a positive environment that encourages client participation

Skills & Experience

• Studying or completed a Degree/ Certificate in Psychology, Disability, Education, Occupational Therapy or related field (preferred)
• Experience working with children is highly desirable
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• A passion for helping individuals reach their full potential

Requirements:

• Full Australian Driver's License, Vehicle, Car Registration, & Insurance
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate
• Working with Children Check & NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module - 'Quality, Safety and You'
• Laptop/iPad - you will be using your own device on shift
