Structural Engineer

You will get the chance to work on:

Some of the biggest towers for clients like Aria Property (many projects completed and 5 more towers currently underway!), Gurner, Project Sunlight (8 stage tower project at Gold Coast Turf Club), Frasers property group, Graya.

Google:

Upper House (Aria) – just completed and many national awards;

Sunlight Lifestyle Precinct (Aquis at Gold Coast turf Club) - Currently underway.

You will get to actively contribute to work on delivering:

• Cliff by Aria (Kangaroo Point) 28 storey tower, Commenced construction, design progressing

• 64 Melbourne Street by Aria (3 tower Master planned precinct 24, 36, and 50 storeys, hosting a total of 678 residential apartments and a 216-room hotel over 7 basements.) – Commenced construction, design progressing

• Many other towers and high rise projects underway

As well as being involved in projects we deliver like:

Public parklands Like Greenheart Stage 1 Robina, Dixon Reserve Parklands, Firth Park Detailed masterplan;

Industrial developments between Burleigh and North Brisbane;

Retail facilities, supermarkets and shopping centres;

Schools, University and civic projects;

Storage facilities across the county;

Working in conjunction with our civil team for a collaborative team delivery.

Our Company

Michael Bale & Associates is a Structural & Civil Engineering consultancy with our head office based in the Gold Coast, as well as our office in West End, Brisbane. We are committed to providing our clients with personal service and optimised engineering solutions. Our team consists of 26 full-time engineering professionals as well as contract staff. With a reliable and growing client base, we require an important new team member to fill the role of a Structural Engineer.

The Position

This is a full-time position – based out of our West End office.

The successful applicant will receive an attractive salary based on experience. Opportunities for advancement and upskilling exist within the role.

What we are looking for

We are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to join our experienced team. We seek candidates who have a passion for structural engineering and want to progress their skills, experience and expand their career opportunity.

You will work as part of a motivated team, taking ownership of projects and managing their delivery, as well as working on components of larger projects with the team of drafters and engineers.

You will be involved in design from concept through to detailed design, as well as construction stage supervision, site inspections and client and contractor liaison for successful project delivery.

Our works are primarily large concrete framed structures and towers, so you will predominantly be working in that space, however we work on all project types large and small, with plenty of opportunity to build on your experience through working on concrete, steel, masonry, timber as well as site supervision.

The role has a good balance between design, project coordination and site attendance, meaning every day is different, with opportunities to grow and learn on the job as the projects progress through design and construction.

Training will be provided with the role to ensure upskilling and career progression for the successful candidate who will be supported by senior staff and management.

Qualifications & Experience

Only applicants with the following proven experience and capabilities should apply:

• Bachelor of Structural Engineering (or equivalent).

• Experience in Structural Engineering is preferred and will attract higher salary based on your experience level.

• RPEQ status is highly regarded, however the applicant will need to be eligible to be (4 year degree) and working towards RPEQ Chartered status in the future.

• We will consider graduate position if you are graduated or close to graduation from university.

• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Possess drivers license for attendance to site meetings or inspections.
