For your application to be successful, you should have\: 

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification; 
• Previous experience within à la carte, café-style, functions and/or high-volume food service; 
• The ability to prepare and present quality food while working effectively under pressure; 
• A good working knowledge and practical application of HACCP and food safety standards; 
• A positive, reliable and self-motivated approach; 
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; 
• Good attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work; 
• The physical capability to perform the requirements of a busy commercial kitchen.

For our Chef de Partie opportunity, we are looking for candidates who can also demonstrate previous experience taking on additional responsibility within a kitchen, including supporting and guiding team members and assisting with the effective day-to-day operation of the kitchen.

About the position:
Located on the 77th floor of the Gold Coast’s Q1 building, SkyPoint Bistro+Bar serves delightful breakfasts and all-day café-style dining, while our events team delivers exceptional experiences for plated dining, cocktail, and canapé events. As a qualified chef or CDP, you will be responsible for\:  

• Preparing and presenting diverse, high-quality menu items across à la carte, café and event operations; 
• Working collaboratively with the Kitchen and Food & Beverage teams to deliver outstanding guest experiences; 
• Maintaining high standards of food preparation, presentation, cleanliness and hygiene; 
• Ensuring compliance with HACCP, food safety requirements, company policies and procedures; 
• Supporting the day-to-day operation of a busy, high-volume kitchen; 
• Assisting with portion control, wastage, stock management and ordering;

For Chef de Partie candidates\: supporting the Executive Chef and senior kitchen team with daily operations, while coaching and motivating Chefs and Kitchen Stewards and helping drive quality and productivity.

Good availability and flexibility with working hours are essential. Shifts will vary ranging from early mornings, afternoons, late nights, weekends, and Public Holidays.
