The role

We are currently seeking1 x Part Time and 3 x CasualCustomer Service Officers to join the newly redeveloped North Sydney Olympic Pool team.

In this frontline role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, responsive, and accurate information to the North Sydney community—enhancing customer satisfaction, supporting increased visitation, and contributing to a positive and memorable customer experience. The successful applicant will be the primary point of contact for all telephone, face-to-face and email enquiries.

The customer service desk is a 7-day operation with morning shifts starting from 5:00am and closing shifts finishing at 9:30pm.

• Provide outstanding customer service with a friendly and compassionate approach at the reception desk, Café and Gelato Bar.
• Confidently resolve customer enquiries and challenges with efficiency and care
• Support daily operations through strong administrative and business support skills
• Prepare clear, professional written correspondence and operational reports
• Contribute to a collaborative, respectful team culture

Essential Criteria

• Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced customer service environment with a passion and commitment to providing friendly and welcoming service standards.
• A high level of interpersonal skills, coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in an easy-to-understand manner.
• Demonstrated administration and organisational skills, including use of Microsoft suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams).
• Experience with Point-of-Sale systems and end-of-day banking reconciliation.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Be able to satisfy the requirements of the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012 and Child Protection (Working with Children) Regulations 2013 and provide a current NSW Working with Children Check clearance; and adhere to Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
• Must be eligible to work in Australia and receive clearance from a pre-employment medical assessment.
• National Police Clearance.

Desirable Criteria

• Experience using computerised POS leisure management systems
• Additional experience or qualifications in the leisure industry, such as certifications in swim teaching, fitness, lifeguard or creche.
• Flexibility to work across a seven (7) days week operation with morning shifts starting from 5:00am and closing shifts finishing at 9:30pm
• Experience and knowledge of Local Government practices, regulations and policies
• Vaccinated against COVID-19

PART TIME

Hourly rate from: $34.17 to $40.81 per hour + 12% superannuation + transport allowance

Permanent part time - 15 hours per week

Weekend penalties apply

CASUAL

Hourly rate from: $42.71 to $51.01 per hour (incl. casual loading) + 12% superannuation
