Finishes Supervisor

We are currently seeking an experienced Finishes Supervisor to join our Construction team and play a key role in delivering high-quality apartment projects through to Practical Completion. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will take ownership of the finishing phase of construction, coordinating trades, managing defects, maintaining programme milestones, and ensuring exceptional presentation and quality outcomes.

 About the Role

As a Finishes Supervisor, you will be responsible for driving apartment finishing works from internal fit-out through to handover. You will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and certifiers to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

 Key Responsibilities

• Manage all apartment finishing works through to Practical Completion.

• Coordinate finishing trades including carpentry, ceilings, painting, tiling, flooring, joinery, glazing, waterproofing, cleaning and final fit-off.

• Plan and sequence finishing activities in line with the construction programme.

• Conduct quality inspections and ensure compliance with project specifications.

• Drive proactive defect management and close-out processes.

• Coordinate inspections with consultants, certifiers and project stakeholders.

• Monitor subcontractor performance, resourcing and sequencing.

• Lead subcontractor meetings and maintain project progress.

• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across site activities.

• Support commissioning, occupancy permit requirements and defect liability period activities.

 About You

 To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Minimum 5 years' experience supervising finishing works on commercial or multi-residential construction projects.

• Previous apartment project experience, ideally 100+ apartments.

• Strong understanding of internal finishes, QA processes and defect management.

• Proven ability to coordinate multiple trades and deliver to programme.

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

• Experience working on projects valued at $50M+.

• Knowledge of Aconex or similar project management software.

• White Card and First Aid Certificate.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.

 Highly Regarded

• Carpentry trade background.

• Experience delivering apartment, build-to-rent (BTR), hotel or large-scale residential projects.
