What's on offer?
Optic Security Group (OSG) have an opportunity for a Security Technician to provide and be responsible for performing skilled technical work. You will sit across service, installation, maintenance, repair, modification and testing of solutions for large scale CCTV and security systems.

With travel around NSW to ACT in bursts, you will work with a small team of skilled Security Technicians across a broad spectrum of commercial and federal government sites. The team works on developing, installing, and servicing solutions for electronic security by integrating access control, intruder detection, and CCTV systems. You will use a variety of commercial security systems including Gallagher (including Type 1A), Integriti, ICT, as well as a range of CCTV systems. 

This role will also see you work with a variety of clients, from top tier security clearance businesses to your local down the way. No matter the client, keeping them involved and informed at all stages is key, as is ensuring not only industry specific standards are adhered to, but client standards and practices as well.

What you'll bring
As a Security Technician, this might not be your first rodeo! You’ll have the experience to back the skills needed, having worked as a Security Technician for a while now, or you'll be a third year apprentice, upwards, ready to get stuck in with some on the job grit.

Installing, repairing, wiring, and testing, you know what to do and how to do it…you may even have your own tools of the trade ready for action...if not, we can help you out there.

• Valid and current driver’s license is essential – you’ll be hitting the road to visit client sites.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Electronic Security.
• Experience in Gallagher, Integriti and Geutebruck CCTV would be a bonus.
• Analytical capability and the ability to comprehend and solve technical problems and issues.
• Excellent communication, organisation, time management and customer service skills.
• Possess relevant NSW Security Clearances.
• EWP / Working at Heights training desired or will be provided.
• Currently have, or the ability to gain Defence Clearance, Government Clearance or NV1 High Security Clearance.
