Boilermaker / Fitter

Boilermaker / Fitter Required

Our family owned and operated company offers an onsite general maintenance, breakdown and shutdown service, including crusher equipment servicing for various Quarries mainly located within the SE QLD area. Our office and workshop are based in Beerwah.

Due to an increased work load on the south side of Brisbane / Gold Coast / Beaudesert areas, we are looking to expand our great team with:

• Mechanically minded tradespeople with experience in maintenance of crushing equipment in the quarry environment

• Self-motivated tradespeople, who take pride in their work and require minimal supervision

• Tradespeople who enjoy site work, have a can-do attitude and able to problem solve

• Tradespeople who are safety conscious

• Tradespeople who work well on their own as well as in a busy team environment.

• These positions will be full time with regular overtime, including occasional weekend work.

• Candidates must be available for weekend work as needed to meet project requirements.

• Candidates must be willing to work away from home for up to 1 week as required from time to time.

As a minimum we require someone with

• Either Boilermaker or Fitter trade qualification

• General construction induction (Blue card or White card)

• Current manual driver's licence.

• Must be willing to undertake a Respiratory Health Surveillance Medical as required for all QLD Mineral Mine and Quarry workers from 01/09/2022. This periodic requirement is to identify any changes in lung function.

• Quarry Industry experience

• HRW licence for Forklift, confined space, working at heights and EWP would be preferred, but not essential.

Remuneration, including vehicle and tooling, will be negotiated with the successful applicants, based on experience and qualifications.
