We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Art Teacher to join our vibrant learning community in 2027. About the Role
The successful applicant will:
Deliver engaging and contemporary Art programs across Years 7-9
Foster creativity, imagination and artistic confidence in students
Use innovative teaching practices to support student growth and achievement
Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Work collaboratively within the Arts Learning Area and wider College community
Support the Catholic and Mercy ethos of the College
About You
You are an educator who:
Demonstrates a passion for visual arts education
Builds positive and productive relationships with students
Embraces collaboration and continuous improvement
Demonstrates contemporary curriculum and assessment practice
Is committed to child safety and student wellbeing
Essential Requirements
Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.
Demonstrated capacity to teach Art at secondary level.
Knowledge of contemporary curriculum, assessment and reporting practices.
Ability to create engaging, inclusive and student-centred learning environments.
Commitment to child safety, student wellbeing and inclusive education.
Capacity to contribute positively to a collaborative professional learning culture.
Commitment to supporting the Catholic and Mercy ethos of the College.

Catherine McAuley College Bendigo is a co-educational year 7 to 12 Catholic secondary school and a member of the vibrant network of Mercy Education Limited, schools around Australia, Catherine McAuley College staff benefit from a professional environment, which has been cultivated over the 150 years of the school’s heritage.
