About the role
Trinity College is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Visual Arts Teacher to join our strong and collaborative professional team on a full-time, 12-month contract commencing in January 2027.
The successful applicant will demonstrate outstanding subject knowledge and a genuine commitment to engaging students in Visual Arts.
The Visual Arts Teacher is responsible for the planning, delivery and assessment of the Visual Arts curriculum, providing engaging learning experiences that develop students' creative skills, knowledge and understanding of visual art and design.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering engaging Visual Arts lessons, learning programs and assessment tasks.
Catering for a diverse range of student abilities through effective differentiation and extension.
Creating a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages creativity, exploration and confidence.
Providing constructive feedback and monitoring and communicating student progress.
Maintaining effective classroom management and positive learning relationships.
Collaborating with colleagues within the Learning Area on curriculum planning, assessment and moderation.
Contributing to the ongoing development of teaching and learning practices.
Participating in co-curricular activities, College events and other opportunities that support student development and engagement.
Applicants must be energetic and innovative individuals who are strongly team-oriented and committed to supporting the Catholic ethos of the College and its co-curricular activities. Successful applicants will also be required to participate in Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA) Colleges Ltd and Catholic Education Western Australia Limited (CEWA Ltd) professional formation and accreditation processes.
Essential Criteria
A strong commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education and a willingness to promote and support Catholic values within the Trinity College community.
A minimum four-year tertiary qualification, including appropriate educational qualifications.
Current and full registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA).
Hold, or be willing to obtain prior to commencement, a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance.
All applicants will be required to undergo relevant EREAC and legislative screening procedures, consistent with the College's commitment to child protection and safeguarding.
