M.J. Bale is looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Assistant Store Business Manager to help lead our Mosman store.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced retail leader—or an exceptional salesperson ready for their next step—to take greater ownership, develop a high-performing team and deliver an elevated customer experience.

Mosman is a relationship-driven store where personalised service, strong product knowledge and genuine customer connections are essential. Working closely with the Store Business Manager, you will help drive commercial performance while creating a store environment in which both customers and employees feel valued.

The Opportunity

As Assistant Store Business Manager, you will be a key leader within the store and play an important role in its ongoing success.

You will:

• Partner with the Store Business Manager to achieve sales targets and key performance indicators.
• Lead from the front and create an energetic, customer-focused store environment.
• Coach, motivate and develop team members to perform at their best.
• Build lasting relationships with customers through personalised styling and exceptional service.
• Grow the store’s local client base and encourage repeat business.
• Develop strong knowledge of M.J. Bale products, fabrics, fits and styling.
• Support visual merchandising, stock management and daily store operations.
• Maintain high standards of presentation, compliance and operational excellence.
• Confidently step into the Store Business Manager role when required.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance and contribute ideas that support store growth.

About You

You are a confident and motivated retail professional who enjoys working with people, delivering results and creating memorable customer experiences.

You will bring:

• Previous experience in a retail leadership, supervisory or senior sales role.
• A proven ability to achieve sales targets and contribute to strong commercial results.
• A genuine passion for premium fashion, styling and customer service.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with a diverse clientele.
• The confidence to coach, motivate and provide feedback to a team.
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail.
• The ability to remain composed and effective in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Flexibility to work across the retail roster, including weekends.

Experience in premium fashion, menswear, tailoring or luxury retail would be highly regarded; however, attitude, leadership potential and a genuine commitment to exceptional service are equally important.
