About the role
Love retail, people and making a difference? Join Vinnies Dickson and lead a passionate team while turning community generosity into spectacular change.
About the Opportunity
As Retail Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind the success of Dickson Vinnies, leading a fabulous team of staff and volunteers and bringing energy to every part of the store. From creating an unforgettable customer experience and achieving sales goals to keeping the store fresh, inviting and full of personality, you’ll have the opportunity to make your mark. With its vibrant atmosphere, amazing range of products and strong connection to the local community, Dickson Vinnies is a store with plenty of character and always something new to discover.
What makes this role truly special is the purpose behind it. Every donation, sale and customer interaction helps turn community generosity into meaningful support for people experiencing hardship. This is a Permanent Full-Time opportunity working across weekdays and Saturday.
About You
You’re a confident and approachable leader who enjoys coaching and mentoring others and creating a team culture where people feel valued, supported and motivated. You’re at your best in a busy retail setting, where you can juggle customer needs, team priorities and business goals while keeping things moving.
You’ll bring experience leading a team in retail, hospitality or customer service, along with a strong track record of achieving results through effective communication, organisation and people management skills. You’re proactive, solutions-focused and comfortable using business systems and Microsoft Office, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools and processes.
You’ll also need a current driver’s licence and be willing to complete a National Police Check, hold or obtain a Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Card, and complete a First Aid Certificate within three months of starting with us.
