Project Superintendent (Site Based)

As our project pipeline expands, we are seeking an experienced and practical Project Superintendent to support the safe and efficient delivery of mine site developments, infrastructure upgrades, sustaining capital works and operational expansion projects across a diverse portfolio of client projects.

About the Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Superintendent is responsible for coordinating site-based project delivery activities across non-process infrastructure projects within active mining operations. The role is offered on an 8:6 or 2:2 roster, depending on project requirements.

The role acts as the key site representative, coordinating contractors, supervising work fronts and supporting safe, efficient project execution in accordance with approved scope, schedule, quality and operational requirements.

Working closely with project teams, operational stakeholders and contractors, the Project Superintendent supports project delivery through construction, commissioning and operational handover while maintaining strong safety leadership and day-to-day site coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise site-based construction and project delivery activities.

• Manage contractor work fronts, site interfaces and day-to-day construction activities.

• Monitor construction progress and identify risks, constraints and delivery issues.

• Support implementation of project execution plans, construction methodologies and delivery strategies.

• Coordinate contractor performance against project scope, schedule, quality and safety requirements.

• Support commissioning, operational readiness and project handover activities.

• Ensure inspections, testing, punch lists and project documentation are completed.

• Monitor project progress, schedules and reporting requirements.

• Support project controls, productivity monitoring and risk management.

• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with client, company and statutory requirements.

• Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, contractors and operational stakeholders.

• Facilitate site coordination meetings, toolbox meetings and contractor interfaces.

About You

• Demonstrated experience in site supervision, construction coordination or project delivery within the mining, resources or infrastructure sectors.

• Proven hands-on experience supporting mine site developments, infrastructure upgrades and sustaining capital projects.

• Experience coordinating contractors, site work fronts and construction activities within operational mining environments.

• Experience working within client-side, owner's team, EPCM or contractor delivery environments.

• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, operational interfaces and project delivery processes.

• Experience supporting commissioning, operational readiness and project handover activities.

• Familiarity with project controls, scheduling and reporting processes.

• Strong understanding of health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements relevant to mining project delivery.

• Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Practical, solutions-focused approach with high levels of accountability and ownership.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification, tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.

• Construction or Project Management certification advantageous.

• Current Driver's Licence.

• Construction White Card.

• WA Statutory Supervisor's Certificate.
