The Opportunity
 
We are seeking a commercially sharp and technically minded Business Development Executive, Commercial to support the Sales Manager in growing our commercial client portfolio.
 
In this dynamic position, you will drive the expansion of commercial unit sales and build strong, lasting relationships across our network of commercial contractors, HVAC consultants, and specifiers. Combining market research, strategic account management, and cross-functional project support, you will ensure ActronAir remains the brand of choice in commercial applications.
 
What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)

• Accounts & Relationship Management: Maintain regular call cycles to cultivate and secure commercial business with contractors, consultants, and specifiers. Keep clients updated on marketing material, training, and technical releases.
• Market Analysis & Business Development: Perform field research and competitor analysis (pricing, attributes, trends) across major commercial segments. Identify new growth initiatives and market channels without eroding existing commercial integrity.
• Product & Strategy Input: Collaborate with Product Managers and State Sales Managers to share market feedback, assist with new product development, and refine commercial marketing strategies.
• Commercial Project Support: Partner with Customer Care and Project Sales Support teams to brief stakeholders, track project milestones, and ensure delivery meets client expectations and ActronAir guidelines.
• Reporting & Industry Engagement: Develop quarterly call plans, prepare monthly strategic action plans, and represent ActronAir at major trade shows and industry promotional events.

• HVAC or Adjacent Industry Expertise: Strong technical understanding of HVAC equipment and or similar and commercial applications is essential.
• Engineering background a big plus
• HVAC trade qualification is highly desirable
• Proven Sales & BD Background: Demonstrated experience in commercial business development, sales growth, or client account management within the HVAC/building services sector.
• Project & Market Acumen: Proven ability to read market trends, analyze scenario feasibility, and coordinate resources for successful project outcomes.
• Exceptional Interpersonal Skills: High-level written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build rapport across internal teams, contractors, and corporate specifiers.
• Systems Literacy: Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and software tools for project planning and reporting.
