An exciting part time and casual opportunities are available for dynamic and motivated individuals to work alongside our team of Administration staff in supporting the hospital's Admissions and Reception.

Located near King's Park, Mount Private Hospital is Western Australia's leading private provider of Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery supported by the largest private Critical Care Unit (CCU). While we're at the heart of private cardiac services in our state, with 224 beds, we bring the same clinical excellence to other specialities such as orthopaedics, neurosurgery, vascular surgery, and general surgery.

Mount Private Hospital is supported by a state executive team, our corporate services team and the Healthscope network.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a broad range of administration duties including:
  • Manage a busy reception desk
  • Answer and redirect calls
  • Organise appointments and prepare admission paperwork
  • Conduct follow-up requests and make reminder calls for visits
• Maintain accurate and effective record management systems including the preparation of medical records
• Perform Health Fund Checks as required
• Manage the collection of excesses/co-payments
• Coordinate with staff from other departments
• Complete other clerical tasks such as data entry

Essential Criteria:

You will be professional with excellent interpersonal skills and a patient-centric focus with highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a busy environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including early/late shifts and weekends
• WebPAS Hospital System experience (desirable)
