We have an opportunity for an experienced Work Health Safety and Wellbeing Advisor to join our People & Culture Team. This role is being offered as a permanent full-time position and is based across our Parkside, Salisbury South and Mile End facilities.

We are seeking applications from experienced safety professionals who can provide practical, proactive and commercially focused work health and safety support to Leaders and employees whilst facilitating a work environment that ensures safety and wellbeing are embedded into everyday activities, throughout our manufacturing, distribution, corporate and retail work environments.

Reporting into the Work Health Safety and Wellbeing Manager, you will support local work groups in the identification of hazards, assess risks to health and safety and facilitate appropriate safety controls to ensure compliance with the relevant requirements.

Your Key Responsibilities Include:

• Providing practical, risk-based WHS advice to managers, supervisors and employees.
• Conducting workplace inspections, risk assessments, audits and safety reviews.
• Identifying hazards and developing effective controls using the hierarchy of controls.
• Supporting manufacturing safety, including plant and machinery, chemicals, manual handling and operational risks.
• Leading and supporting incident investigations and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
• Developing and reviewing WHS procedures, SOPs, SWMS and risk assessments.
• Supporting HSRs and workplace consultation processes.
• Providing WHS coaching and toolbox talks.
• Supporting managers to take ownership of their WHS responsibilities.
• Coordinating workers compensation claims and injury-management activities.
• Supporting injured workers through appropriate return-to-work and rehabilitation processes.
• Developing and monitoring suitable duties in consultation with injured workers, managers and rehabilitation providers.

What You’ll Bring:

• Demonstrated experience in a WHS Advisor or similar role.
• Experience working within manufacturing, warehousing, distribution and/or retail environments.
• Strong practical risk assessment and incident investigation skills.
• Experience with plant, machinery, chemicals, manual handling and operational safety risks.
• Demonstrated experience managing workers compensation claims and return-to-work processes.
• Strong communication, consultation and influencing skills.
• The confidence to challenge unsafe practices and have difficult conversations when required.
• The ability to work autonomously while also being a collaborative member of the People & Culture team.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple sites.
