Teacher - Secondary Generalist

Cunderdin District High School (CDHS) is seeking a professional to be part of our team as our Secondary Generalist Teacher.

The Role

This is a great opportunity for any Secondary Teacher that wants to be involved in a school that has high expectations on student behaviour, has a beautiful learning environment that instils a sense of ownership from students, and desires to see the best outcomes achieved for all students. Government Regional Officer Housing is available for all teachers in Cunderdin.

We are seeking an innovative, proactive and flexible team member that will eagerly take on the challenge of single age and multi-age classrooms, implementing a diverse and engaging curriculum for our Secondary students. Ideally applicants will have some knowledge of Teaching for Impact, Explicit Instruction and Growth Mindset.

The role will be diverse and can be tailored to the successful applicant’s areas of interest and strength. The focus area will be in lower secondary, but being a district high school the successful applicant should be prepared to teach a range of ages.

The successful applicant will ideally engage and build productive and positive working relationships with students and colleagues to strive towards achieving our vision and values as outlined in our ‘Business Plan 2024-2026’ to improve the outcomes of all students.

Mobility appointments for permanent metropolitan and south west teachers

Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.
