Hancocks Accountants is a progressive, client-focused Chartered Accounting firm based in Tamworth, NSW, led by three Directors who are genuinely invested in the growth of their team. We're known locally for building long-term relationships with our clients — and we take the same approach with our staff.

We're growing, and we're looking for one or two Intermediate to Senior Accountants to join our taxation compliance team.

The Role

You'll work on a portfolio of clients across a range of industries, from start to finish — building relationships, solving problems, and delivering great outcomes. We're genuinely open to full-time or part-time arrangements to suit the right person.

Day to day, you'll:

• Prepare and review tax returns, activity statements and financial statements for individuals, businesses, trusts, SMSFs and other entity types

• Manage your own client workflow, with support from Directors and senior staff when needed

• Build and maintain strong client relationships

• Help clients improve their business record-keeping and systems

• Mentor and support junior team members (for more senior candidates)

About You

• Bachelor's degree majoring in Accounting or Commerce

• CA/CPA qualified, or actively working towards it

• Experience in an Australian public practice firm, across individuals, businesses, SMSFs and other entities

• Confident working independently and managing your own priorities and deadlines

• Strong communicator with a genuine interest in client relationships

• A problem-solver with a keen eye for detail

• Experience with MYOB AE, Xero and/or Class Super highly regarded (equivalent software experience welcome)

• Full working rights in Australia
