Senior Engineering Manager

An established global renewable energy developer is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager – ANZ to lead technical activities across a portfolio of large-scale Solar PV, BESS and hybrid renewable energy projects.
This is a senior, commercially focused engineering role supporting projects from early-stage development and acquisition through pre-construction, contracting, construction, commissioning and operational handover.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead engineering activities across the development, acquisition and delivery of utility-scale Solar PV, BESS and hybrid projects.Manage technical due diligence for acquisitions, project financing and divestments.Assess Solar PV and BESS technologies including modules, inverters, trackers, structures, batteries, BMS and EMS systems.Lead concept design development including equipment sizing, layouts, SLDs, civil works and balance-of-plant systems.Develop and review technical appendices for OEM supply, EPC, ICP and O&M contracts.Lead technical negotiations with OEMs, EPC contractors, ICPs and O&M providers.
Experience:10+ years’ experience within the renewable energy sector.Strong experience across utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects in Australia.Experience gained with a renewable energy developer, EPC contractor, owner’s engineer or technical advisory consultancy.Strong understanding of Solar PV and BESS technologies and associated balance-of-plant infrastructure.Experience developing and negotiating technical requirements within EPC, OEM, ICP and O&M contracts.HV substation design and construction experience would be highly regarded.
