Allied Health Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Allied Health Assistant to join us on a part-time, fixed-term basis. 

About the Role

In this rewarding role, you will provide essential clinical and non-clinical support to our Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists and other Allied Health professionals. You'll work alongside a collaborative team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and improving health outcomes at Mt Wilga Private Hospital. As an Allied Health Assistant, you will be instrumental in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation and therapy goals while maintaining a supportive and inclusive environment.

• Assist Allied Health professionals in managing a diverse range of patients requiring Inpatient, Day Patient, Outpatient therapy services and NDIS therapy supports
• Conduct group activities, exercise sessions and individual treatments as directed by supervising clinicians
• Prepare and organise therapy areas, equipment and materials to ensure safe and efficient treatment delivery
• Follow and implement therapy programs as directed by Exercise Physiologists and Physiotherapists
• Assist with departmental and service administrative tasks, including resource management and documentation
• Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail in all clinical and administrative responsibilities
• Complete ad-hoc tasks as required to support departmental operations

About You

• Willingness to work under the supervision of an Allied Health practitioner
• Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage workload demands and priorities
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of customers
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
• Demonstrated ability to provide excellence in customer service
• Flexible positive approach to work
