Contract Administrator

Contract Administrator | Commercial Construction | Sydney, NSWSaha Projects is looking for a capable and commercially minded Contract Administrator to join our growing team in Sydney.We are a boutique commercial construction company delivering fitout, refurbishment and construction projects across Sydney, with a strong focus on quality, practical problem-solving and building long-term relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.This role would suit someone who enjoys being close to the project, understands the commercial detail, and wants greater responsibility across the full project lifecycle.The RoleWorking closely with our Director, Project Manager and Site Manager, you will be responsible for the commercial administration of our projects from procurement through to final account.Your responsibilities will include:Preparing and issuing subcontractor and supplier packagesReviewing, levelling and negotiating subcontractor quotationsPreparing subcontract agreements and purchase ordersManaging project budgets, commitments and cost reportingPreparing and assessing progress claimsManaging variations from identification through to approvalMaintaining variation, procurement and commercial registersSupporting monthly cost forecasting and margin reportingManaging RFIs, consultant correspondence and project documentationAssisting with contractual notices, EOTs and delay documentationMonitoring subcontractor compliance, insurances and project documentationSupporting project handover, final accounts, retentions and closeoutWorking closely with the site team to identify commercial risks before they become problemsAbout YouWe are looking for someone who is organised, commercially aware and comfortable taking ownership.Ideally, you will have:3+ years of Contract Administration experience within Australian commercial constructionA qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or a related disciplineExperience working on commercial fitout, refurbishment or construction projectsStrong understanding of subcontractor procurement and trade packagesExperience with progress claims, variations and cost reportingStrong Excel skillsAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsGood written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detailA practical and solutions-focused approachThe confidence to communicate with subcontractors, consultants and clientsExperience with projects valued up tp $10 million would be highly regarded.Why Saha Projects?This is not a role where you will be buried inside a large commercial team working on one small part of a project.You will have direct exposure to the entire commercial and delivery process and work closely with the people making the decisions.You will have the opportunity to:Work directly with the company DirectorTake genuine ownership of projectsDevelop your commercial and project management capabilityWork across a variety of commercial construction projectsHelp improve the systems and processes of a growing construction businessProgress into greater project and commercial responsibility as the business growsWe value people who are reliable, accountable and willing to get involved.If you are looking for an opportunity where your contribution will have a real impact on the projects and the business, we would like to hear from you.Location: Rozelle, NSWIndustry: Commercial ConstructionPosition: Contract AdministratorApply via LinkedIn or send through your CV and a short introduction outlining your commercial construction experience.
