RDV Business Solutions Pty Ltd is a well-established and growing boutique accounting firm based in Pascoe Vale. We provide proactive taxation, accounting and business advisory services to a diverse range of small business, investor and SME clients.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant / Practice Manager to join our team and play a key role in the management and future development of the firm.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced public practice accountant who enjoys leading a team, managing workflow and building strong client relationships while remaining hands-on with technical tax and accounting matters.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practice and ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing financial statements, income tax returns and BAS prepared by junior and intermediate accountants before release to clients
• Managing the firm's workflow, lodgement program and compliance deadlines
• Allocating and coordinating work across team members. Also completing larger compliance work files yourself.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for staff technical queries and day-to-day support
• Meeting with clients on an ad-hoc basis to discuss tax, accounting and business matters
• Managing client relationships and delivering practical, commercially focused advice
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and client service standards
• Assisting the Director with staff management, workflow planning and business growth initiatives
• Helping maintain a positive, professional and high-performing team culture

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 8+ years' experience within Australian public practice accounting
• Strong technical knowledge of Australian taxation and compliance requirements
• Experience reviewing work prepared by junior and intermediate accountants
• Previous experience managing workflow and staff is highly regarded
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
• Ability to prioritise deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively
• Experience with Xero and MYOB
• Experience with Handisoft and BGL 360 is advantageous
• CA or CPA qualified (or substantial public practice experience)
• Full working rights in Australia
