At Bethanie, we're passionate about creating caring and vibrant communities where people can thrive. We are currently seeking a friendly and customer-focused Café Attendant to join our team at Bethanie on the Park Retirement Village.

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys hospitality and wants to make a genuine difference by creating a warm and welcoming experience for our residents, visitors, and staff.

As a Café Attendant you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service while supporting the day-to-day operations of the village café. You will help foster a connected community environment and contribute to making the café a welcoming hub for residents and guests.

This role is offered on a 6-month fixed-term contract with a view to permanency.

You will be available to work the following shift pattern

Week 1 and Week 2

Monday 9.00am to 3.00 pm

Wednesday 9.00am to 3.00pm

Friday 9.00am to 3.00pm

The Role

Preparing and serving high-quality hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based coffee

Preparing and serving light meals and café menu items

Providing exceptional customer service to residents, visitors, and contractors

Maintaining attractive food and beverage displays

Monitoring stock levels and assisting with stock replenishment

 Maintaining cleanliness and presentation of café and dining areas

Adhering to food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety requirements

Contributing positively to the village community and culture

The Role

Previous café or hospitality experience in a retirement Village , Aged care setting or similar environment is preferred but not essential

Barista skills preferred but not essential

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A friendly, positive, and team-oriented approach

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality service

Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment and manage multiple priorities

Current Food Handler Certificate, or willingness to obtain

Current driver's licence

Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations

Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or National Police Clearance (or willingness to apply for one)
