Any additional information you would like to share about the project specs/ nature ofwork:NAWe're looking for a Technical Platform Manager to support our Data Platform team,with a strong focus on Databricks platform optimisation and cost management.
The ideal candidate should have deep experience with Databricks and cloud dataplatforms, with a proven track record of driving platform efficiency, governance, andcost optimisation initiatives. This role will work closely with both internal stakeholdersand external partners to identify, prioritise, and deliver optimisation opportunitiesacross the platform.Key responsibilities would include: Leading the platform cost optimisation agenda across Databricks andassociated cloud services. Working collaboratively with engineering, architecture, operations, andbusiness teams to identify and implement optimisation opportunities. Establishing and tracking optimisation roadmaps, savings targets, andoutcomes. Providing leadership and direction to a team of engineers focused on platformperformance, efficiency, and cost management. Driving adoption of best practices across compute, storage, serverless,governance, and operational processes. Engaging with vendors and platform providers to leverage new capabilitiesand optimisation opportunities.
