As our Grants Officer, you'll play a key role in supporting the delivery and administration of the City's Community Grants Program. Working across the organisation, you'll provide expert advice, guidance and practical support to ensure grant funding is distributed fairly, transparently and in alignment with the City's strategic objectives.

What You'll Be Doing

• Support the delivery and administration of the City's Community Grants Program.
• Provide advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on grants governance, assessment and administration.
• Develop and maintain processes, tools and resources to support effective grants management.
• Coordinate grant funding rounds, including advertising, communications, record management and reporting.
• Facilitate grant assessment panel meetings, including scheduling, minute-taking and recommendation documentation.
• Assist community organisations and applicants by providing information, advice and training on grant opportunities and processes.
• Monitor funded projects to ensure compliance with contractual, milestone and acquittal requirements.
• Administer and support the City's SmartyGrants platform.
• Prepare reports, communications and other documentation relating to grant activities.
• Identify and monitor external funding opportunities that may support strategic projects and initiatives.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and promote best-practice grant management across the organisation.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for a collaborative and highly organised professional who can build strong relationships and confidently manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

You'll also have:

• Demonstrated experience implementing and reviewing organisational policies, procedures or business processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, presentations and stakeholder communications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across a large organisation.
• Experience in administration and financial management processes and systems.
• A customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
• Experience in administering government grants or funding programs (desirable).
• Tertiary qualifications in business administration, project management or a related discipline (desirable).
• A current National Police Clearance and current driver's licence.

Additional Information

A satisfactory National Police Clearance and current 'C' Class Driver's Licence are required for this position.
