HR & Recruitment Coordinator

Lytton, Brisbane | Full-Time | Growing Australian Logistics Business

Rogers Transport is seeking an organised and approachable HR & Recruitment Coordinator to support our growing workforce of more than 100 employees.

This is a newly created, hands-on role responsible for coordinating recruitment, onboarding, employee documentation and day-to-day staff matters across our transport, warehousing, administration and operational teams.

We already have an experienced WHS Manager responsible for workplace health, safety and compliance. This position will allow you to focus primarily on our people, recruitment and general HR coordination.

Working from our modern Lytton head office, you will support managers and employees throughout the employment lifecycle—from advertising vacancies and coordinating interviews through to onboarding, employee support and maintaining accurate HR records.

• Coordinate recruitment across driving, warehousing, operations and office positions

• Prepare and publish job advertisements

• Screen applications and complete initial candidate interviews

• Arrange interviews with relevant department managers

• Complete reference and pre-employment checks

• Prepare employment agreements, offer letters and position descriptions

• Coordinate inductions and onboarding for new employees

• Ensure licences, qualifications and employment documents are collected and recorded

• Maintain accurate and confidential employee files

• Monitor probation periods and coordinate probation reviews

• Assist managers with performance management and staff matters

• Prepare general HR correspondence, including changes to employment conditions

• Coordinate employee departures and exit processes

• Respond to general employee questions regarding workplace policies and employment conditions

• Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures

• Maintain employee information within company systems

• Work with payroll to ensure new starters and employment changes are processed correctly

• Support initiatives that improve employee engagement, retention and workplace culture

• Work collaboratively with our WHS Manager and operational leadership team

You will be practical, organised and confident communicating with employees across all levels of the business.

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience in an HR Coordinator, Recruitment Coordinator or generalist HR role

• Qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline

• Experience managing recruitment and onboarding processes

• Working knowledge of the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards and Modern Awards

• Strong written communication and document-preparation skills

• Excellent organisation and attention to detail

• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment

• Professional judgement and the ability to maintain confidentiality

• Confident and approachable communication style

• Experience within transport, logistics, warehousing or another operational workforce would be highly regarded

Experience with employment contracts, performance management and HR systems would be advantageous.
