About the role
The role of the Child Safety Support Officer is to provide efficient and effective administrative services to a multidisciplinary team who deliver statutory child protection intervention that includes assessment and case management in accordance with legislation and practice guidelines. The role provides culturally appropriate, practical prevention, early intervention support services to families utilising a range of strategies, including consultation, support and advice, to strengthen the family unit and assist in the diversion of families from the statutory child protection system.
