Registered Nurse – General Practice | 3–5 Days | $43–$47/hr

About the role

This is a varied and autonomous role within an established General Practice. You will generally be the sole nurse on shift, working closely alongside two experienced GPs, our practice manager and reception team. While you will need to be confident working independently and using initiative, support is readily available whenever required. The position offers continuity of care, the opportunity to build long-term relationships with patients, and to be an active and valued member of a small team.

Key responsibilities

• Immunisations and injections

• Wound care, dressings and suture removal

• Chronic disease management and care plan support

• ECGs, observations and other clinical procedures

• Patient education and health promotion

• Vaccine and cold-chain management

• Infection prevention and control

• Maintaining clinical stock, equipment and treatment areas

• Recalls and patient follow-up

• Assisting GPs with clinical care as required

About you

• Hold current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse

• Have previous General Practice nursing experience

• Be confident with immunisations, wound care, health assessments, chronic disease management and other routine practice nursing duties

• Have a strong work ethic and take pride in your work

• Be dependable, punctual and reliable

• Be proactive, organised and able to use initiative

• Be comfortable managing the nursing workload independently

• Be warm, approachable and genuinely patient-focused

• Know when to seek clinical assistance or guidance

• Communicate well and contribute positively to a small team
