Senior Accountant

About the role
Working as part of the Business Services and Advisory team, you'll be responsible for a portfolio of privately owned businesses and individuals. As you develop, you'll have greater ownership of client relationships and the opportunity to become a trusted adviser rather than simply a compliance accountant.
Key responsibilities
Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for various entities including companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals, with exposure to Division 7aPreparation of Fringe Benefits Tax Returns for various fringe benefits providedPreparation of BAS and IASTax planning and year-end strategiesAssisting clients with day-to-day taxation and business mattersLiaising directly with clients and Australian Taxation OfficeWorking with senior accountants and director on more complex assignmentsManaging offshore staffs and provide guidance on jobsBuilding strong, long-term relationships with clients
About you
Approximately 3–6 years' Australian public-practice accounting experienceExperience preparing financial statements and Australian income tax returnsRelevant accounting or commerce degreeStudying towards, or has completed, CA or CPACommunicates well and is comfortable dealing with clientsTakes pride in producing high-quality workOrganised, reliable and able to manage deadlinesEnjoys being part of a teamWants to continue learning and progressing professionally
