Cook / Commi Chef

The Gate Bar and Bistro have an exciting opportunity for a fresh-faced Cook / Commi Chef to join our well-established Kitchen Team. 

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of produce, culinary techniques and kitchen equipment. Being a team player that can perform under pressure and is prepared to learn.

 About You:

• Ability to maintain a consistency in food quality and presentation

• Effective communication skills with a growth mindset to continually learn and improve.

• Be close to having obtained or already have a trade qualification or equivalent experience 

Responsibilities:

• Follow food handling procedures, ensuring temperature and hygiene control.

• Quality control of raw and cooked food products.

• Must be able to work weekends and nights.

• Knowledge of food safety guidelines

• Ability to maintain consistent standards at all times.

• Ability to handle high volume production.
