The Franchise Brands team sits within Sigma Healthcare’s Retail Division and is responsible for supporting and growing the Amcal and Discount Drug Stores networks across Australia. The team combines deep expertise in retail operations, commercial performance, franchise relationships and brand development to ensure our pharmacy partners achieve sustainable success.

About the role

We're currently recruiting for two Franchise Business Manager positions within our Franchise Brands team:

• Preston, Victoria-based role supporting our Victoria and Tasmania franchise network
• Perth-based role supporting our WA franchise network

We're open to candidates being based within their respective regions, and for the right person, we're also happy to consider a location within our Preston Support Office in Melbourne, with travel as required. Flexibility is important to us, and we're focused on finding exceptional talent who can build strong partnerships and drive franchise success.

Working closely with specialist teams across retail operations, merchandise and marketing, property and store development, as well as many other departments, the Franchise Brands team delivers the strategies, tools, programs and support that help franchise partners grow their businesses while maintaining the strength and reputation of our brands. The team owns franchise partner relationships, brand governance, compliance standards, engagement initiatives and long-term network growth.

Reporting to the National Store Operations Manager the role will be responsible for:

• Partnering with franchise owners to drive business growth and profitability.
• Building effective relationships across a network of pharmacies.
• Analysing performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Leading franchise engagement, business reviews and regional meetings.
• Ensuring brand standards and operational excellence are maintained.
• Supporting the delivery of commercial, sales and growth initiatives.
• Coaching and developing franchise partners and store teams.
• Driving retention, renewal and long-term network success.

Who are we looking for?

Ideally, you’ll have worked in a similar environment, operating as an Area Manager, Regional Manager, Retail Operations Manager, Multi-Site Leader, Pharmacy Operations Manager or Business Development Manager position. In addition, the ideal candidate will possess:

• Experience in franchise, retail, pharmacy or multi-site operations.
• Proven ability to build effective business relationships and influence stakeholders.
• Commercially minded, with a track record of driving sales, profitability and business growth.
• Demonstrated coaching and leadership skills, with the ability to support and develop business owners and store teams.
• Data-driven and comfortable analysing performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, resilient and able to work autonomously across a regional territory.
