Residential Site Supervisor - Western Region

We are seeking a Residential Site Supervisor to manage a portfolio of residential builds across Melbourne’s Western Region. You will be responsible for coordinating trades, maintaining construction programs, monitoring quality and safety, resolving site issues and ensuring homes are delivered on time and to a high standard.

The role requires a proactive and organised supervisor with strong trade management skills and the ability to manage multiple residential sites from construction commencement through to completion and handover.

The Role

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of residential construction sites located primarily throughout Melbourne’s Western Suburbs and surrounding growth corridors.

Your key focus will be ensuring trades are effectively scheduled and managed, construction milestones are achieved, quality standards are maintained and issues are resolved quickly to keep projects moving.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage residential construction projects from site start through to practical completion and handover.

• Supervise multiple residential building sites across Melbourne’s Western Region.

• Coordinate, schedule and manage trades, subcontractors and suppliers.

• Ensure trades attend sites in accordance with construction programs.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with trades and suppliers.

• Hold trades accountable for workmanship, attendance and completion timeframes.

• Monitor construction programs and proactively manage delays.

• Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks.

• Ensure construction complies with approved drawings, engineering, specifications and building requirements.

• Identify construction issues early and implement practical solutions.

• Manage defects and ensure rectification works are completed promptly.

• Coordinate materials and deliveries to ensure sites remain productive.

• Maintain organised, safe and presentable construction sites.

• Provide regular and accurate construction progress updates.

• Liaise closely with the Construction Manager and internal departments.

• Maintain accurate site records, photographs and construction documentation.

• Manage practical completion requirements and prepare homes for successful handover.

About You

To be successful in this position, you will have:

• Strong experience managing trades and subcontractors.

• Strong knowledge of residential construction from site starts through to completion.

• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and programming.

• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, engineering and specifications.

• Good understanding of Victorian residential building requirements.

• Strong quality assurance and defect management skills.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.

• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
