About the Role

Brisbane Girls Grammar School is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Assistant Director of Sport (Sport Development) to help shape the future of our Sport Program and expand opportunities for participation, inclusion and athlete development.

Working closely with the Director of Sport, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute strategically to a high-performing school sport program and make a meaningful difference to the sporting experience of young women.

The role will lead and contribute to three key areas:

• Future direction - contributing to the strategic development and evolution of the School's Sport Program and sporting facilities
• Participation growth - developing opportunities that encourage greater student participation across a diverse range of sports and interests
• Inclusion - creating inclusive sporting opportunities that enable students of varying interest and abilities to engage in sport.

The Assistant Direct of Sport will work collaboratively across the School community and contribute to the planning, delivery and continuous improvement of the Sport Program, while supporting the development of a strong and positive sporting culture.

This is a full-time, year-round Professional Staff position and does not operate on the academic school term calendar.

About You

We are seeking an experienced sport development leader who combines strategic thinking with strong interpersonal and organisational capability.

In this role, you will bring:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in sport management, sport science, or a related discipline
• At least five years' experience in a comparable sport development role
• Demonstrated experience contributing to the strategic development and growth of a sport program
• A contemporary understanding of youth sport, participation and athlete development
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build positive relationships across a diverse community.
